Spend 3 days on the Moray coastline.
This course includes accommodation at the Sail Loft in Portsoy.
A beautiful base for few days of sea kayaking. Basing ourselves here gives us the opportunity to explore anywhere between Findhorn and Cullen without too much driving.
Maybe we can paddle under the infamouse Bow Fiddle Rock?
This is a great area to explore with lots of rolling swell, beautiful natural harbours and old fishing villages. With so many stoney and sandy beaches to explore, caves to pop our heads into and stare in awe at all the amazing bird life, there's so much to do on this coastline.
It will be weather dependent on which beaches we launch and land at each day.
Who's it for?
It is perfect for people who have done some kayaking before and who would like to develop their skills in a more challenging environment.
What's included?
All sea kayaking equipment will be provided.
Accommodation is included, based on twin room sharing (private room can be provided with additional surplus)
Food/booze and personal insurance are not included.
Course content
During the course, participants will learn intermediate paddling techniques, such as bracing and edging, to enhance their stability and control in choppy water conditions. They will also learn how to navigate in a sea kayak, including using a chart, compass, and GPS, as well as how to read the weather and make informed decisions about their route.
In addition to these technical skills, participants will also learn about trip planning and safety, including risk assessment, group management, and self-rescue techniques.

Pre- requisites
The course id geared to those that have completed a few intro's, or at least 8 days of paddling. It's for people who would like to plan and paddle more commiting journeys.
Being able to roll is not essential, but being able to rescue your peer is very helpful.
