This is a 5 day trip which is 150km in length and offers some of the best sea kayaking in Europe. The route takes in some of Scotlands most scenic coastlines and provides a challenge for all.

The route starts from Ganavan sands, near Oban to Helensburgh. It’s split into 8 sections. It hugs the stunning Argyll coast down to the Sound of Jura before cutting through mid Argyll via the Crinan Canal. It then leads to the south end of Loch Fyne, before skirting Inner Kintyre and around the Kyles of Bute. The final section leads the paddler through part of the Firth of Clyde, taking in Rothesay Bay and Wemyss Bay.

This trrip requires paddlers to be a competent member of group, so can rescue their peers. You should be able to manage 20km per day, be able to paddle in force 3 - 4 winds and be able to launch and land in a small swell.

You should be comfortable wild camping and have all your own camping equipment.
